About the Retreat
Gold Rain Retreat is a brand-new 2026 timber-frame mountain home with hand-hewn log siding, perched at 4,400 feet in Smoky Mountain Retreat, a gated community in Maggie Valley with paved roads, a private waterfall hiking trail, and a playground near the front gate. The home offers long-range views to Mt. Pisgah and a beautiful overlook of Lake Junaluska. Designed for groups, the four-bedroom layout comfortably sleeps up to 12, with thoughtfully separated spaces: adults on the main level and kids or additional guests on the walk-out lower level, which has its own living area, hot tub, and arcade.
Who It's For
Gold Rain Retreat was built with groups in mind — whether it's a multigenerational family vacation, a golf trip, a friends' getaway, or a couples' trip to the mountains.
The main level offers single-level living with just two steps to enter and a primary suite with a stepless walk-in shower — comfortable for all ages and abilities.
The lower level gives kids their own space with an arcade, a separate living area, and direct access to the hot tub and covered deck — while parents relax upstairs. There's also a community playground near the front gate.
Four separate bedrooms, multiple living areas, a hot tub, and an outdoor fireplace create plenty of shared and private space for groups traveling together.
Laurel Ridge and Maggie Valley country clubs are both about 10 minutes away, with Sequoyah National in Cherokee about 35 minutes out. Sleep up to 12, hit the links by morning, and unwind in the arcade or hot tub after.
